Chapter 1. Introduction on Chrismas December 25

A. Introduction

The birth of Jesus rings a bell with the followers of Christ. Sadly, the world sees how several of them don’t appreciate and live it.

On the one hand, some people celebrates Christmas December 25 in ways that deviate from Biblical values, such as hijinks, excessive shopping and binge. Failure in grasping the true meaning of Christmas leads them to these ways. On the other hand, some people rejects Christmas as a result from following false arguments of anti-Christmas being on December 25. For an example, have you heard an argument suggesting that Jesus was not born on December 25 because of winter? This argument implicitly assumes that winter in Bethlehem is similar to winter in the North America and Europe, including in terms of frost, blizzard, ice and snow. Hey, Men, Bethlehem was and is always in the sub-tropic zone, a warm-temperature zone. Think about it! This city is neither in North America nor Europe, neither in moderate-temperature nor cold-temperature zone! This small mistake results in big impacts, among other, rejecting Christmas 25 December, Holy Gospel or even rejecting Jesus.

Jesus birthday has been a frequently-debated polemic over the last 4 centuries. Many false arguments arise. Their popularity has skyrocketed since 16 AD, an early time when the philosophy of liberalism seeped into theology. “Has skyrocketed” implies that some arguments of rejecting Christmas 25 December had really existed before 16 AD, but they had not been as popular as they have been.

False arguments grows more and more popular because the Christ followers, especially who knows biblical verses on December 25 as Jesus birthday, have kept silence and have been hellbent on principle “Silence is golden.” No, brothers and sisters, now it is not our time to keep silence. Our silence allows false arguments to freely be injected to future generations.

Hence, this work on reasoning Christmas December 25 are to refute any allegation against Biblical Christmas on December 25.

Chapter 1. Logika Natal Jatuh pada 25 Desember

A. Pendahuluan
